Oddly enough though, they do like Tom Green’s mouse eating bit in the movie Road Trip.
The origin of catdog perhaps?
I’ve dyed my light colored cats at Easter before. The other cats in the household don’t seem to care either way, but maybe they’re just used to weird things happening around here.
Green and blue work pretty nicely; pink is great is your cat is very light. Lavender doesn’t turn out nicely, but neither do my lavender Easter eggs.
I’ve also used colored chalks on my black cat. It’s not as effective, though.
I dont know about cats , but I learned the hard way that it matters to rats. I used to have 3 white rats. One time when I was buying them food I noticed that the pet store had colored shampoo for dogs that would make a dog a diffrent color. I figued, why not have hot pink and electric blue rats?? I bought some of the stuff and filled up the wash basin with it and put the little fellas in one at a time. As soon as they were all back in the tank they started fighting. I had to buy 3 seperate tanks for them because every time I put them together they fought. As soon as the dye washed all the way out they were fine again. No more fighting or anything.
I had an all-white cat who dyed his own head school-bus yellow. He was very, very proud of this.
We have no idea what he was thinking.
(Long story involving a kind of tropical flower with bright yellow pollen and a concentrated effort to rub the coloured stuff over his head.)
I’d volunteer to conduct the experiment, as I have a white cat, but he doesn’t come in contact with other cats, he’s an indoor cat and I only have the one.
Half a bee, named Eric?
I chalked one of our white cats pink once. He didn’t seem to mind. He always avoided the other cats, though, so I don’t know if it changed interaction any.
bodypoet, exactly how does one dye a cat, and with what?
Sorry for the hijack, but this is something I must know.
Small arms work. A .22 caliber rifle is quiet enough to not bother the neighbors, but the cat will dye quickly.
Huh. Now I know that the ‘bad joke’ part of my personality overrules the ‘cat’ part.
