. . .what else would I like? Despite the implausible and often laughable “science” of the show, the actors were competent and engaging, and the story held my interest.
I sure hope there is a season three, as nothing was resolved at the end of S2.

If you have Amazon Prime, you might give “Humans” a go. Basically, human looking androids become self aware type show.
No time travel, but it shares the same element of having a band of misfits against the world.
Fringe, if you haven’t seen that.
Which service carries it?
I really liked “The Leftovers”.
Glitch on Netflix might fit the bill. Seemingly random people have come back from the dead, totally healthy (NOT zombies), the age they were when the died.
Subscription, rental, or purchase on you tube, Amazon, iTunes, Google Play. There may be others.
Continuum is on Netflix
We have similar tastes. We’re also hoping that season 3 of Travelers comes sooner than season 2 did, which wasn’t as soon as we’d hoped.
Counterpart is on Amazon Prime. One episode so far but its parallel universe premise and plot (thus far) is very intriguing, Also, JK Simmons.
Somebody else mentioned Glitch on Netflix. Two seasons, very surprised at how well done it is.
[Dark is also on Netflix. Try to watch the subtitled version as the dubbed tends to lose nuance in translation. Took a couple of episodes to get the gist, but after that it was a wild ride.
If you can find the British series Primeval anywhere, that’s a good one too. Originally saw it on BBC America, don’t know if it’s on anyone’s roster right now.
There’s always Classic Who too.
I liked Glitch. It was different enough to be interesting, without any shambling zombies. I think I tried the first ep of Dark, but it didn’t grab me. Same with Continuum. But perhaps I should be more patient and try again.
It appears Primeval is on Amazon Prime. I liked it for the first 3 or so seasons, then it seemed to be not as good.
Futureman on Hulu is quite good. And it’s funny.
It took me a couple of episodes before I got into Dark. I didn’t think I’d like it either. I’ve heard the same from quite a few people.
Try “11/22/63” on Hulu. Good time travel series about the Kennedy assassination.
Also liked “The Man in the High Castle” (on Amazon, I think?)
J.
Great suggestions!
I didn’t think The Man In The High Castle was still on Amazon for some reason, but yes, add it to the list.
I’d hope so, since Man in the High Castle is an Amazon produced show ;).
Slight nitpick - it’s on the Starz Channel on Amazon Prime. Or just on the Starz app.
I watched that, but didn’t think it really captured the essence of the book, nor was it particularly well acted.
3% on Netflix is pretty good. It’s a Brazilian show so the language is Portugese, but you can turn on subtitles. It’s a near-future dystopian story about young people in Brazil having the chance to take a series of tests (mental, physical, psychological) to earn entry into an exclusive city of the elite where everyone is healthy and smart and happy and productive and there is no crime.
I’ll also support the recommendations of Continuum, Glitch, The Man in the High Castle, and Fringe.
Never read the book, thought the supporting cast was stronger than the leads, but just imagining the premise was enough to tweak my interest enough to watch it.
I finished watching Season 2 of Travelers, and the show I’d compare it most to is The Strain:
I liked them both; they kept me wanting to watch “just one more episode” even if they weren’t high art.
