My boss at work, (I will refrain from my usual tirade against his stupidity, as he was recently nice enough to give me paid days off to collect myself this week) left a memo on my desk while I was away for a minute. It is a list of things I need to do today. (Check some gateways, line connections, place test calls, etc) It is about a page and a half long. On the front is a little yellow post-it with Smeghead’s handwriting on it. He has written, “This is stupid and pointless,” and then stuck the post-it to the memo.
What the hell does this mean? Am I supposed to do this stuff, or is it optional? Is this something he wants me to do, or did this come from higher ups in the company (the higher-ups often want us to do things which we give an extra-low priority too)? Old Smeggy has since taken off for the day, so now I’m clueless whether to do the 20-odd little things on this list and waste my time all day or go about my regular duties.
