Last week my grilling machine died. Cat was trying to lick the grease from a recently cooked meal and pushed it on the floor shattering the top of the clam shell. That’s a right-off.
Then a few days later my laptop died, sort of. The power supply sort of works. If I play with the ac adapter connector the charging light comes on, but I can’t turn it on or it fails. I can charge the battery this way just not while it’s running. So I’m opting not to run it all so it doesn’t wear out completely. That way I have it if I need it, but dang it. I’d use the laptop to kind of distract myself enough to doze off. So that little disruption of my routine has me up an extra couple of hours a night.
Either the dc power converter wore out and needs replaced or the power connector on the laptop motherboard is lose. I think something is lose because it gets really hot like maybe it’s arcing.
Which means I’d have to have to resodder it. That always leaves some burns.
And now my car. Last night it was driving weird. It’d lurch hard if I tried to accelerate too fast, none of the warning lights were on. So I pulled back into my driveway to see if the oil was low or something. Nearly got a sodder level burn off the dipstick. Sucker was practically on fire. So I went to bed. Check please.
Now I get the fun of figuring out why my car is running so hot, and if I can’t fix it (which is very likely with my skill set if the problem is anything beyond ‘add fluid’). Then I get the fun of biking 22 miles round trip to college and back 4 times a week for the next month, at least. Twice a week the return trip will be after dark. Fun times.
Assuming my bike doesn’t break, or something.
Oh and the toilet’s leaking now.
I’m not sure what to pit since it’s a bunch of unrelated things that happened to happen at once. It’s like fate is subtly trying to mess with me.
