Why don’t we all end up looking like Barbra Streisand and Prince Charles’ love child by the time we’re 65?
Who says they don’t stop growing? Only in people with abnormal levels of growth hormone (a condition called acromegaly) does this happen. The ears and nose do retain their ability to grow, because they never form bone, but they don’t actually keep growing (normally).
Not only do ears continue to grow as we age, you can use them to decipher someone’s age because they grow at a nearly constant rate.
They don’t grow in as much as they just droop. Ears and nose cartlidge will get elongated and droop, thanks to gravity, but they don’t grow. Several plastic surgeon sites were used as cites.
We beat this to death about 3 times in the past 6 months.
Hmmmm, maybe I should switch to boxer shorts.
