Well, perhaps, I concede. But the course of Europe would have been pretty different without the Kaiser. And much, MUCH different without Victoria and her numerous descendents. Almost all of Europe’s monarchs and pretenders are in line for the British throne, no matter how remote! Some of them would have to convert religions (Juan Carlos, for example), but Christ, that woman’s DNA spread faster than the Spanish Flu.

Knowing how my relatives behave with each other, I’d say that being first cousins might have been one of the factors for the war.
