Maybe. OTOH, Orange County California is right next door to Hollywood, is joked about far less frequently than Wisconsin, yet is still pretty damn conservative.
Still kinda conservative. Or perhaps more accurately, still has many conservatives in it. But every congressional seat in Orange turned blue the last election. I expect a few will flip back - there were some close wins and Trump is a real drag on the Republicans in CA in particular( his tax policy did not endear him to folks buying pricey CA real estate ). But like another former Republican stronghold, Santa Barbara county, it has been slowly trending bluish in recent years.
These days the bastion of Republican support in CA has shifted to the large, semi-rural and sparsely populated eastern districts. They’ve always been Republican, but in the past were overshadowed by the much wealthier and more densely populated conservative strongholds in the west.
