If the Equal Rights Amendment were passed today, what would change?

The Equal Rights Amendment, as you probably recall, explicitly recognized equal rights for women and men. Despite a spirited campaign in the 1970s, it was never ratified.

Since then, equal rights regardless of sex have been codified in a great many laws. But we still don’t have an overall constitutional amendment recognizing them. I wonder what significant changes it would have. Parental custody and alimony arrangements in divorce cases, perhaps?

Conscription and more vigilance on even prison sentences?

A huge amount of litigation working its way through the court system.
