It seems to me that this sort of thing is precisely why we have a Vice-President.
G.W. Bush did one and believe it or not, it’s actually pretty good.
The group is also fully aware that they will probably get very few of those donors to donate again or to learn about their cause, sadly. Short-term fads may also hurt their causes in that these slacktivists may think the problem is “solved” now, or at least passé.
It almost makes me like the guy again. Actually I have lots of respect for the camaraderie the ex-presidents have with each other. Does anyone think Bill Clinton will do it? How about Hillary?

Obama did Between Two Ferns. Somehow I don’t think this would look less dignified than that. And that’s coming from someone who enjoyed it.
I don’t know if Bill Clinton would do it with having a bad heart and all. He might just donate instead.
They’re up to 41 million in less than a month. They made 29 million total last year. Even if all these people are just one-time donors, I don’t see how they is a bad thing. Yeah, the donations will probably go back down to normal last year (although I expect it will be a little higher from the small percentage that keeps donating) but when the options are
A) 2013 - 29 million, 2014- 29 million, 2015- 29 million
or
B) 2013 - 29 million, 2014 - 80 million, 2015 - 29 million
I think the ALSA would prefer option B.
