If Trump does go to prison, what would it be like?

White nationalists are mostly talk. Some will draw weapons, but they’ll be scorned by the media and their families ridiculed for decades.

Even the so-called Proud Boys members just landed prison sentences, and their former leader, Gavin whatever shoved a dildo into his ass on a web seminar. As the southern saying goes, “Something aint right bout that boy” which could be said of all white nationalists.

Sure there’s talk of rebellion. For fucks sake, I’m sure some may start shooting at police or whatever and they’ll get return fire. Anyone who is sane will come to their senses even if all evidence provided makes it seem they’re completely insane for loving the orange dingleberry.

These are the same people who say “Liberals want to take everyone’s guns away and destroy them,” and of course, “Liberals are going to shoot up every place if Trump wins in 2020 and will kill all Republicans.”

Cognitive dissonance much?

Are prisoners with dementia who have forgotten why they are in prison or even that they are in prison routinely put in a higher security prison? It seems to me that prisoners deserve medical care and a facility that could provide relevant care to such an inmate would be most appropriate, even if his name is Trump.

How would he even try to escape? He’s not a fit and athletic 25-year old cat burglar familiar with various tools and schematics, he’d be in his late 70s or early 80s, perhaps unable to even walk briskly, let alone run. He might not even be able to escape if the guards left the doors wide open.

We put senators, governors, representatives, etc in prison. We’ve also tried to put people who ran for president in prison (John Edwards was facing 30 years in prison for doing what Trump did with Stormy Daniels, misusing campaign funds to pay off a mistress).

It would set a good precedent to imprison a president to show that the rule of law still somewhat exists for the rich and powerful.

It could be a prison of his own making. Imagine Trump spending the rest of his days as a permanent guest of the Russian embassy in DC. That way Trump and the Russians both get punished.

I vote for putting Trump, whether he is convicted or not, in the ISS.

Permanently. Or at least until it falls to Earth and burns up.

TBH I prefer fantasies of me hitting the PowerBall.

Hmmm… hey, NY dudes, put a hold for a while on that plan to close down Riker’s. It would be so delectable to deny him bail initially as a flight risk and make him spend two nights there until you do approve the reconsideration.

However…

This. It will not happen, at best they’ll tell his lawyers “if he’ll just go away and SFTU, we’ll just stick him for back taxes for however much he can be made to cough up, and be done with that”.

It would be cruel and unusual punishment for someone who voted Dem to have to share a cell with him.

When Manuel Noriega was convicted of federal crimes, he served his time in FCI Miami. That’s probably the closest recent precedent in terms of incarcerating a high-profile prisoner. (I’ll rule out Fort Monroe.)

If Trump was incarcerated by New York, I would guess he’d be sent to Five Points. They have a special unit for high-profile prisoners.

New York has a special unit for elderly prisoners, some of whom have dementia. It’s a ward located in one of our regional medical units.

If this POTUS is not to die in a US prison, he’ll either take refuge in Riyadh, or nuke San Francisco before trial.

I understand that he had ships and troops on Elba.

Oh, good one!

Don’t tease me with these scenarios! I don’t think he’ll ever be convicted of anything.

If it did happen, it probably would be wherever they can put together a cushy private suite.

This is what I wonder most about.

Nah, people actually need to do important work up there. Don’t burden the awesome astronauts and cosmonauts with him.

They could assign an agent to be with him, 24/7, in shifts of eight hours at a time.

Easiest thing to do would be to pass a law saying that convicted ex-presidents are no longer entitled to Secret Service protection.

If only Jor-El’s Phantom Zone existed in real life. Press that black button and aim the ray at him.

I still like the Mexican prison, maybe in a cell that overlooks his beautiful wall.

Honestly, given the security headaches of secret service protection in prison, I think if Trump were actually be convicted and sentenced to time, it would probably be house arrest.

Works for me. Give him one of his hotel rooms. And take away his phone.

It would be interesting to watch as a former president tweets out every national secret. But, my money is on that man never seeing the inside of a jail cell no matter what happens.
