Both cowboys named Rogers.
I’ve done it too, & so have others.
Yes, but I really can’t stand Roy, while I’ve read a biography of Will.
I’d probably deliberately split my vote between Libertarians and Greens. They’d cancel each other out on fiscal issues but they’d both agree on a drug free America (i.e. free drugs :)). If legalization weren’t an issue, I’d vote for Independence. In fact, might do so on local races where they’d have more fiscal say than legislative say, I mean I wouldn’t mind libertarians and greens in congress where they can do as little harm as possible but i wouldnt want them in my bedroom
(no, seriously, I think they could cause harm on the local level. Altho the Greens would have the potential to do good, I would think that once they are IN their preferred realm of Local Action, they would be insufferable do-gooders and be generally annoying.)
Try the Republic Serial Radio Ranch.
Search the Nashville Library system for “Rogers, Roy”. Cowboys , rayguns & robots. Silly fun.
Will Rogers was a real cowboy, a ranch hand and rodeo trickster, part Cherokee, born and raised in the Indian Territory (Oklahoma). Roy Rogers was a dude cowboy, an actor/singer from Ohio. No comparison.
BTW, if you haven’t guessed already, under the scenario described in the OP, my own party affiliation would be the Progressive Party.
None of them are an excellent fit, but I guess America First Party is the closest for me. I’m not religious and am in favor of removing gender restrictions on marriage, but the rest of the description is pretty close.
I’m afraid that’s a pretty big reservation, elfkin. Nobody who favors legalizing gay marriage would be welcome in the AFP. (On the other hand, Jews – somewhat surprisingly, in view of Pat Buchanan’s reputation for antisemitism – probably would be welcome. The AFP website even has a link to an organization of Jews for gun rights.)
