ETA and for that matter, was accused of trolling there earlier today. I wasn’t bothered, because it’s the Pit, and I assumed that’s what it’s there for.
I don’t believe BigT limits his trolling to the Pit, so that’s a moot argument.

You’re conflating two issues:
BigT has never said in either post I quoted or in his other posts that he limits his “deliberately annoying posts” designed to “teach people a lesson” to the Pit. He does them everywhere, from what he implied.
Being annoying in the Pit may or may not be fine, but there’re years of precedent saying that trolling as such isn’t allowed in the Pit.
Please answer the question: do you believe merely being annoying, deliberate or not, to be sufficient grounds for a warning or ban?

My answer is that if you’ve written multiple messages, bragging that you’re deliberately posting in all the forums (and not just the Pit) in a way designed to annoy people so as to “teach them a lesson”, yes, by SDMB rules as I, a humble poster, understand them, it’s certainly grounds for a warning or banning. Does this not match your idea of the rules?
