FWIW, as of about 2 years ago, we calculated that about 10% of the membership was “active” (for a suitable definition of active). That makes for about three and a half thousand people at this time.
You’ve had about 150 replies to this thread, which only makes for a hit rate of about 5% even amongst the active membership.
Other little points: the mode number of posts of a member is… zero! That’s right, by far and away the most common thing is to register an account and never even post.
Second (a long way behind) was one.
The mean number of posts was about 1.5. On average (as Algernon said) posters stay less than a handful of months.
