You look stupid when your complaint about typos has a typo.
How is that? How are Trump supporters commies in this thread and Nazis in another?
You do realize what forum you’re in, right? If you have a problem with “potty mouths”, I suggest you stay out of the Pit. This isn’t the forum for being “kind or helpful”. Surely by now you know that.
They’re both part of Making America Great Again??
BTW - “Maga” means “dunce” in Nigerian.
To be fair, when the outcome is a Republican victory, all of those things are bad.
That’s a common misconception. AIUI, he’s playing 1D Chutes and Ladders.
Not that it makes a lot of difference, when what the rest of us are doing is having a barn-raising.
I won’t go so far as to tell people to go f themselves, but I really do wonder what the threshold is for the republican fanboys. It’s okay to reject the prescriptions of the Democratic Party and to believe in limited government and all of that. And for the first half of my life, the Republicans used to make a reasonably good case that they were the adults in the room when it came to grandiose spending projects of progressives. But they’ve descended into anti-intellectual, religious-fanaticism and race-baiting populism of the worst kind.
If you’re holding out for Trump because you are still unconvinced of Trump’s complicity in illegal or unethical acts and that he’s being attacked by fake news, I suppose I could go along with that. But if nothing else, I’d ask you to consider this: you have control of both houses and the White House and you’re not getting shit to show for it – not only that but you’re nowhere close. Despite your pyrrhic victory in the House, you’re still no closer to repealing ‘Godawful’ Obamacare and replacing it with anything that the people would actually appreciate. You’re stuck with passing a piece of shit bill that even the people who voted for Trump don’t want. You’re no closer to passing tax reform or lowering anyone’s taxes. We’re probably closer to a constitutional crisis than we are any of these things, and Trump should have slam dunked these bills already. Trump was supposed to run government like a business – as it turns out he’s running it like one of his businesses, which is into the ground. Only this time, the American people are going to be the contractors that get stiffed while Trump flies off to Russia to get his next golden shower.
Perhaps you have heard of Iran and Syria, yes? Perhaps you have heard that they are allies of Russia, yes? Perhaps you have heard that this intelligence was provided to us by Israel, yes? Perhaps you have heard that Iran and Syria don’t much like Israel, yes?
Now Israel gets to make the choice of either rolling up a chunk of their intelligence apparatus or allow Iran and Syria to investigate their operations. Maybe, just maybe they will be less forthcoming with similar intelligence in the future. In case you forgot, this intelligence was that ISIS has made advances in packaging bombs inside laptops. Not that people care about airplanes exploding.
Isn’t this obstruction of justice, and isn’t that what Nixon went down for? Why would this not be an impeachable offense?
The Republicans may be able to say blabbing sensitive information to the Russians isn’t a crime because Trump can declassify stuff, even if it pisses off the Israelis and makes them stop sharing information, but trying to block investigations into Flynn’s possible ties to the people who interfered with our election certainly is.
I sense that you don’t actually want a legal analysis unless it ends with “Yes, it’s legally the crime of obstruction of justice.”
Carry that water! That’s a good Republican! Keep it up, you can buy your way into heaven!

That’s the dumbest thing anyone has ever said.
I thought it was actually nice that it was such a dumb statement that no one actually addressed it, we just treated it like a fart in the room that we all wish never happened and let it blow away.
False on the face of it.
I’d appreciate a legal analysis. If what Comey says is true, is it obstruction of justice?
I checked 18 U.S. Code § 1503:
And 18 U.S. Code § 1505:
I’m going to come right out and say it: Those are some horribly constructed sentences.
But if I follow it, it says it’s illegal to influence the administration of the law by a threat. So what constitutes “administration”? And what constitutes a “threat”? If the President tells a government official who he has authority over that he “hopes” an investigation will end, is that an implied threat?
So when are you bombing a federal building?
So I guess I won’t tell you what to do with this cactus.
“Hey, look at me, I don’t have the courage of my convictions, so I’ll vote for a joke candidate, then claim that failing to stop this abomination wasn’t my fault!”
Tell you what, I’ll just leave this cactus in the middle of the room, and you guys can do whatever you want with it.
Not a shooting war, no, but anyone who thinks Russia is “friendly” is a useful idiot. They’ve been doing everything they can to step in and meddle with elections, uniformly on the side of people who want to blow up the current world order. Trump wants to pull the US away from world affairs and put “America First” (and just so happens to have a mean authoritarian streak and some seriously problematic personality problems), and Putin did what he could to smear his opponent. Le Pen wanted an isolationist France and an end to the EU; her opponent’s emails got hacked. There are some indications that Russia was involved in the registration website for the Brexit vote, although the influence of this may be overstated.
We’re not at war with Russia in any conventional sense. Despite that, Russia is trying to weaken and destabilize the west. Ignoring that just makes you easier to manipulate.
You have placed insufficient antecedents in your message. Was it a response to John_Stamos’_Left_Ear, or to Sam Stone?
(It’s also a little hard to parse; could you elaborate? TIA :))
“Don’t talk about the facts! I don’t want to hear them! Facts are bad!”
Is that the cry of a good Democrat?
“I’m betting money that Trump is going to get away with this!”
Is that the cry of someone who is opposed to Trump?
And I will continue to point out that you have no ethical obligation to do so. You are not his defense attorney. Nowhere in either the Bible nor your catechisms does it say you have to do this.
You are choosing to defend Trump. Yet you claim you do not want to do so. So don’t.
Fighting ignorance is not more important than getting rid of an anti-Christ.
