If you could join a reality show of any era, then which one?
My thinking is that you could join a reality show of any past era as either a participant or a judge, or both. You can be as specific as you like with regard to time (for example, you can simply choose “Survivor” in general or a specific season that you enjoyed).

These are the rules for this thread:

  1. As a participant, you would not get to win the season that you are in, but you would get to have at least one stand-out moment (for example making a gorgeous dress in Project Runway or making a great dish in Top Chef). This is regardless of your actual talent.

  2. As a judge you would get to judge all season through, but not get to automatically re-write history (i.e. you could be a judge in Adam Lambert’s season of American Idol, but not to change the season winner, though you would get to critique however you wish along the way).

  3. You can select one show to be a participant in and one to judge in, though you can’t appear in the same for both roles at the same time and judge yourself (if anybody would care to do that). Other than that you can select the same show for both roles.
    Here are some things you can consider!

  • what season of a show had the most fun people to be around with?
  • what would you most rather be seen doing?
  • who would you like to judge or get judged by?

I would have loved to be a contestant on The Mole, or one of the early seasons of The Apprentice.

I would avoid “Reign of Terror” as a contestant, although it only lasted one season, the judges were brutal.
