If you had to pick one restaurant for all your meals...

Clyde’s.

Ted’s Bulletin.

Amazing diner-like selection, and there’s one just 5 miles from my house.

This place.

Because if I’m going to be forced to schlep to one place for all 3 of my daily meals, it’s absolutely going to be the restaurant that’s closest to my house. Plus they do really nice breakfasts and have a decent bar. I’ll miss having Asian food though. But my number 2 choicedoesn’t do breakfast, of any sort, so that’s a dealbreaker.

Is that related to the one on Belmont that just closed? Clarke’s on Belmont was a very interesting place, especially later at night.

Anyway, I’d pick Rocks. They have daily specials and a decent selection of beers. There’s been weeks in which I’ve eaten there 3 times.

Heh. There are about three local small places within 20 miles so I can’t get the dispensation. Only one of them serves all three meals (I think), so I guess I have no choice! It’s a farm-to-table kind of casual place so I guess that’s about my speed anyway.

I often skip breakfast so for lunch and dinner, a brew pub I haven’t tried yet that is supposed to be good.

An award winning chef has a teensy restaurant within walking distance of my house. He has a seasonal menu and weekly specials. I have never eaten there, but if I had to choose, that’s the one. Personal Touch Catering it’s called.

I figure it would offer enough variety to keep me satisfied. It’s also very conveniently located.

I’d go for the Royal Northern & University Club. It’s within walking distance.

Cheesecake Factory has a pretty diverse menu. I think I could manage getting free meals there. I rarely eat breakfast anyway.

For me it would be Bradley’s Corner Cafe, in Topeka. My favorite breakfasts are there, and the later meals are great too. The pie is homemade.

Probably just one of the chain steakhouses (3-4 of similar quality close by) or maybe 5 Guys.

Cheesecake Factory, just because it has so many entrees to choose from, and variety matters if I can only eat at one place forever.

Go for the steakhouse. If you went with 5 guys, you’d have to live on fries the rest of your life since 5 guys doesn’t serve burgers.

I was going to say “McDonalds,” not because I like them (I don’t) but because I could still go almost anywhere in the world without starving. But it looks like the OP means a specific establishment.

So, instead, I think I’ll go with The Chairman.

Specifically, their food truck.

If you’re interested, Miller, they’re expanding their all-day breakfast. (I haven’t had some of their breakfast stuff in years, so perhaps a stop by is in order)

You’ve been there then? That would be a perfect place for a (small) Pit Dopefest.

Another vote for Penny’s former employer, the Cheesecake Factory. Wide variety of dishes and cheesecakes.

Yep. I went to highschool in Saltsburg. Carbones was “the” place to go. Dinner, parties, receptions, etc. Haven’t been there in a while, but I’d love to go. Do the still sell jars of their sauce?

Excellent diner nearby with a typically huge and varied menu. Great chicken soup to gyros. Might get tired of canned veggies or salad as my only vegetable options, and I’d miss authentic Asian food, but at least I’d have some variety.

The 22nd-ranked restaurantin the world (and the best restaurant in all of Africa) is within walking distance of me, but they don’t do breakfast, and their menu isn’t very huge, so for the purposes of this thread, they’re out. Pity, as their waiting list is sometimes 6 months so a guaranteed seat would be awesome. But I like breakfast far too much to give it up.

I totally lied. I doublechecked and it’s just under 20 miles to Denny’s, and 15 miles to the truck stop diner. I guess I’d go truck stop.

Not a huge fan of diners. Most of the ones I know do a great breakfast, two or three great lunch or dinner items, and a lot of other stuff only fairly well.

I’m leaning toward Bertucci’s. Nice hot rolls, good seafood and veggie options, and, of course, the pizzas.
