With some of the things I try to do in Office 365, I am faced with a screen that says that my parent or guardian must approve. My parents died 32 and 54 years ago and I don’t (yet) have a guardian. How do I get past that screen?
You are your own guardian now so say yes, approved.
Did you provide a birthdate when you registered? It sounds like they think you’re a minor. (A couple of times, when registering for websites, I’ve provided fake birthdates, though always ones that made me a full-grown adult.)
ETA: Mostly ninja’ed.
I’m not sure there is an FQ answer here. Clearly there’s something in the software or settings that makes it think you’re a minor. Knowing more about what those things are and which app(s) you’re using when the prompt appears would help us narrow the scope of inquiry.
While we’re waiting for that extra info I’ll just toss this out there

- Probably something to do with the exchange rate. You're age in Canadian years makes you seem too young in the 'Murrican years the software is using.
It’s likely because your birth year is incorrect on your account. See if this helps:
We had this with a client (they used personal Microsoft accounts before we started support). Their laptops kept disconnecting from the network and we found it was due to parental restrictions - too much screen time.
The person who set up to account just threw in an age without thinking. We were unable to change the age because that required approval of a parent or guardian.
The client no longer uses personal Microsoft accounts.
