Don’t ride your little skateboard in front of my car in hopes of getting hit.
Lastnight a kid about 13 rode his little skate board directly in front of my car. I almost hit the little shit, I had to stand on the brakes hard he came out of nowhere.
I yelled “What the fuck is wrong with you, you dumb fuck” He looked scared and apologetic, however his 10 yr old friend up the street yelled “fuck you”.
GRRR I was FUMING.
Little snots, if it were legal I would have gave the both of them an ass whoopin.
Now I’m wondering about the legalities of passing a local ordinace allowing johnny Bacon to seize their little boards (if they’re 18 and under) if they pull this type of shit. The parents maybe could pick up said board at the cop shop. If theyr’e over 18 they could maybe get a ticket and a court date. This type of thing is getting out of controll (with young bikers too, they weave in and out of traffic, run stop signs at blind corners, etc) Bricker?
I can deal with the skateboarders. My problem is with the nitwits that for some reason think it is right and proper to ride against traffic on their bicycles. Nothing like increasing the relative speed of two vehicles before impact. That and the same wankers seem to take up much more of the lane than is really needed, though this could be an effect of the fact that they are driving on the wrong side of the road or the wrong way on a one way street.
when I was a kid in the 70’s we were instructed to ride against the flow of traffic so as to better be prepared to avoid collision. Typically a cyclist is more laterally agile than a car and sometimes will swerve or not have clearance on his side. Knowing what is coming can help with this. In my state, however, if you ride on the road you MUST go with the flow of traffic unless ong a bicycle path specifically marked as such.
My problem is not with all skateboarders, only the ones who choose-no- make it a point to disregard all “rules of the road”. Endangering themselves and others. BTW are they not subject to the same rules as pedestrians as far as crosswalks and such??
Ferfucksakes the kid almost got hit.
He doesn’t realize how close the grim-fucking-reaper got to his little ass.
Just maybe they’d be a little more careful if they had to deal with the cops and their parents when they pull this shit.
I don’t know if varies from state to state or if they changed rules in the 80s (when I was taught the rules of the road for bike riders) but I was always taught that a bicycle is a vehicle and is to follow the same set of laws as other vehicles on the road; going with the flow of traffic, stopping at signs and lights, etc.
