I got the reverse rainbow today, in less than a minute. I wasn’t trying for the RR, but I saw Purple right away and proceeded from there.

Purple jumped right out of me. The red herring I saw was easily disposed of. Picking blue vs green was trickier.
The one I saw was TONGUE possible for the woodworking joint category, but dismissed because TONGUE alone is not an actual joint (would require “AND GROOVE”)
Then again, the category could have just been woodworking terms.
I saw the offal before I saw those, so I evaded that trap, but I wasn’t sure about one of the words, did the purple, and went back to it. I didn’t even see yellow at all until it was leftovers (but did see it then).
Monday Monday, can’t help that day. I got rainbow order, but I guessed Blue and Purple because I had absolutely no hope of figuring those out.

Absolutely pulled this reverse rainbow out of my ass. Found yellow and green quickly, but completely blanked on blue and purple. Ended up sorting them by oddness and got lucky.
We’ll, they did throw in the British spelling of MITRE the yesterday…
Green was easiest for me, but I never would have figured out purple. Blue was a bit difficult because I have no idea who the Wings are. I initially guessed Spur instead of Wing because I figured Texas teams in general rather than Dallas teams in particular could be the category.
It’s Tuesday and I got taken in by red herrings.

I got Monday’s yellow pretty easily, and then I figured out the green category but simply lacked the knowledge of the fourth word until I Googled. Blue was tough and partly guessed, and I had no clue on purple.

Purple I saw almost immediately because of PARS. I just didn’t see any other possibility for that clue. Misjudged blue and green difficulty, so missed the reverse rainbow.

What was the red herring? I saw one (animals from animated movies) but it had too many possibilities, usually the red herrings are a definite 4.
Found what may have been a red herring (Cereal Mascots but then muscleed through.
