Yellow was similar enough to the red herring that I glitched at first, but then got them all.
That second one would be too British for Connections. Americans rarely use that word that way.

Was it alternative words for an invoice (BILL, DAMAGE, TOTAL, PRICE)? Because that’s the one I fell for.

Fell for a red herring after the first guess. Otherwise OK.
Red herring was amount on a bill-price, quote, damage, total.
ETA: I see I’m not the only one.
I saw purple right away, but it was in a category I’m famously bad at, so I thought I was hallucinating something.

Saw purple immediately, though it was a red herring until I worked out the rest. All categories seemed about the same difficulty to me.
For purple, I saw that they were all last names, but wasn’t sure beyond that.

On Monday’s puzzle I didn’t do too well, but got them in the end.

Made a couple of mistakes. The second one was just a mistype. First one was a slight red herring.
I was going for new ( fresh, new, mint, current) rather than inexperienced.
The answer for green was cute.
