What I thought I saw was Pixar Characters.
Yeah, when I got blue, I was assuming that they were all captains, but I still got it right. The real answer didn’t even occur to me until I saw it.
This one, I started with purple, because it was all I could be sure of. Too much blurry overlap between yellow and green.

Again with the yellow and green mixup. Third day in a row.
It’s Sunday. I deftly avoided a red herring I was barrelling towards

Another case where trying to sort them all would have helped. Didn’t get blue because it seemed too obvious.

Straightforward as GREEN eliminated many other possibilities.
Yep. Good one to sort all the way.

I failed Monday’s puzzle. After seeing the answers, I would not have guessed at some of those.

I figured out how to fix my yellow vs. green problem. Just before I hit submit for what I think is green I switch to the other four. And it worked.

Easy enough, although GREEN was pure bullshit : Do is not a homophone of the other 3 even in Merkinese

Thought green was going to be a red herring and couldn’t figure out the fourth for either blue or purple.
“Do” is not a homophone of the others, but “Do” is. It’s not “carry out an activity”; it’s “the first note of the scale”. Think “Do, a deer”.
Aah, of course, yes.

I don’t like blue. Buck? The nose they make that sounds like “buck” is usually spelled “cluck”.
Or
“bock”, for the onomatopaeia.
I would say “The chickens are clucking, and going ‘bock bock bock’.”.

Ungood. Doubleplus ungood. Avoided the obvious red herring but fell for another. Couldn’t figure out where BUCK belonged. Should have remembered the Super Chicken call.

Just dumb luck. I had no idea that “buck” is a sound that chickens supposedly make, nor that “fawn” is a reaction to stress. I still don’t believe either one, tbh.
Today’s puzzle was bollocks.
