I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I enjoy it when it is clever and makes you think and hate it when the connections are tenuous at best. Today’s purple was the latter.

I made the JACK connection between PLAYING CARD and CHEESE (after BOOT was off the table), but didn’t see anything else that fit - and I still don’t.
Fortunately, I had a pretty easy time with the first three categories.

I would never have guessed purple, and didn’t see it until the reveal. But it’s all connections I’ve heard of.
- A cheese i never eat, and seems like a West coast thing
- An animal i rarely have reason to talk about, and whose sex I’m usually indifferent to
- Okay, i talk about the jack playing card regularly
- An alternate term i rarely use, but it’s squarely in my “understand it when it comes up” vocabulary

Okay, i knew that first was likely a red herring. But i really didn’t like yellow, and only guessed it because “one away”. And i wasn’t going to get purple. I kinda felt cheated by this one, even though i “got” it.
I guess Saturday’s blue was technically fair. But I didn’t like it.
And I apparently missed Friday entirely.
Sunday’s was criminally easy. Though Purple was unknown to me.
