GREEN was bullshit. Knitting needles are not tapered the same way as the other 3, which are all characteristically tapered for most of their length. In knitting needles, only the point is tapered and a much greater proportion of the length is cylindrical. I would call a knitting needle pointed, not tapered. I could see what they were going for, but still: Bullshit, I say.
Failed this one. Did not figure out Blue or Purple and ran out of guesses.
Yeah, green wasn’t a great category. I had it as things that are pointy, which is pretty vague for a category. I figured it’d be the red herring, and wanted to get it out of the way, and was surprised when it worked.
Blue looked like it should have been purple, and vice-versa.

I saw yellow and green right away then couldn’t get anything else. I slept on it and saw blue which I really thought was purple. Purple was leftovers. I never would have gotten it.

I was very close to guessing blue first, then on a hunch submitted my leftovers for my second straight reverse rainbow.

Tuesday, and I struggled a bit with this one. Brands and food are not my strong points.

One slip but otherwise not so bad.

I never heard of one of the blues and one of the greens. I didn’t even try to figure out what the theme was for purple.

Misfired on purple (missed the palindromic aspect ) but messed up the green/blue order anyway.
A decent result for Wednesday.

No issues
I got purple right for the wrong reason: I assumed they were all kinds of oak.
Kind of embarrassing for me to miss the real connection, but in my defense, blackboards and chalkboards are really rare, these days.
