After some tough ones today’s was refreshingly easy for me.
Yeah, today’s was rated 1/5 in difficulty.
I spotted the connection for green first, but because SKIRT also seemed to fit, I held off. After getting yellow and purple, I correctly surmised that blue was components of a uniform of some sort, but didn’t specifically think of Girl Scouts.
It all worked out though!

Purple was and I didn’t figure it out because I hadn’t heard of a Bingo Hall
I continue to find Yellow first nine times out of ten. It’s kind of weird. It’s not like I’m trying to.
The yellow category of “Materials Associated With Fancy Dining” seems to have missed the more obvious “Traditional Wedding Anniversary Gifts”.
I had yellow for last today, and that’s also the category name I thought of first. (And I think some may be a bit obsecure these days.)
I got Yellow first today, almost immediately. Purple was last, as usual. Doubtful if I would have ever seen the connection in the Purple elements.
Yeah, it’s funny what jumps out at you any particular day. I had purple second after almost suiciding on green. (Kept getting “one away” because one of the answers was not in the form I’m used to seeing the answer in.) But purple leapt out at me for some reason. It’s like how some days I see the fill-in-the-blank clue (usually purple, sometimes blue) on first scan of the puzzle.
My least favorite category is “Word too long to read on my phone”
I got purple first, and quickly. I’m a movie buff, especially of 80s movies. Furthermore, I have an aversion to single-word movie titles.
Yeah I saw the purple right away as well.
I read this post before doing the puzzle today. I thought of The Full Monty and Monty Python, but neither helped. I solved it, but used up all my wrong guesses.
3/31: Another incredibly easy puzzle for me. Twice in 3 days now, I solved Purple first. Overall, it took me less than in a minute.
I had a bit of trouble but it wasn’t too bad.
I saw ATE, FORE and TOO and thought I was onto the purple and was looking for WON or SICKS to complete it.
Even though I failed today’s April Fool’s puzzle, I did appreciate it.
I got yellow pretty quickly, but I’ve burned two guesses on the others so far.
I assume the parentheses go together, but maybe not?
I got Yellow right away, but failed miserably in my next four attempts. There went my month-long streak.
Actually saw purple immediately due to the right angle symbol, and yellow was obvious. Guessed green correctly in spite of one of the characters not quite making sense to me. Didn’t figure out what blue was prior to the reveal, but thought it was actually a clever category.
Not I (I mean, yes I failed, but no, I did NOT appreciate it). Fuck you, Connections. I came here for a WORD game.
