If you move to Calgary, don't come for the healthcare

It’s my understanding that lots of Canadian doctors come down here to practice.

Right, well, I suppose it would have been a good pitting if this was actually…in…the…pit. :smack:

As far as I know, that is indeed part of the problem - conditions for healthcare workers were bad enough that a lot of people went south where they were appreciated and haven’t returned, in spite of all the government promises of a rosy future.

Don’t worry about it, kawaii. This is a very mild pitting, hence the MPSIMS forum. More of a bitch session, really.

Thanks NurseCarmen. This SoCal hotblood was about to fall over dead just from reading the description of the “mild” Calgary winters. Although I think I’d take 14 degree weather over 114 degree weather. I HATE triple digit heat.

I grew up in Indiana and had regular 20-something-degree winter weather all the time and loved it. When we first moved to California, my home family would point and laugh at the silly SoCal-ers wearing scarves and mittens in 60 degree weather.

Now we’re one of them. shudder

That should read “my whole family.” Note to self: no posting before coffee.
