If you were doing a callback on a prospective employee and their voice sounded really young what would you think, if anything?
This happened to me not long ago. I did a phone interview with a woman who had a really “babyish” voice. It was quite disconcerting. She sounded as though she were about 10 years old. However her application clearly showed that she was in her mid-20s and her responses on the phone were otherwise satisfactory. I got her in for an interview, which went very well and we’ve since employed her. I still find her voice incredibly offputting though.
