Ignore Function / Abbreviations Guide (Dual Function Thread)

Is this just to ignore people from sending you PMs or does it block out their posts? I’m just asking because on the other board I post on, it’s only for the PM function.

Second Purpose

Can whoever reads this post, list as many of the abbreviations you all use around here for the new and uninitiated (me)?
A few of them I figured out, like IANAD, and AFAIK, but I see a lot, and it throws me at times.

Ignore function - if you ignore someone, it displays “click here to see the post” (or words to that effect) instead of their post.
Abbreviations - answered in technical questions FAQ. Please read that thread, and also the guidelines for posting thread, both sticky threads in this forum.
