IIRC? IANAD??? What do they mean?

Pardon my ignorance. I’ve seen “BTW”, “IMHO”, and even “ROLFLMFAO”…but in some of the responses from questions or comments I’ve posted, the abbreviations “IIRC” and “IANAD” were used, and I haven’t a clue what they stand for.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? (-:

IIRC = If I recall correctly
IANAD = I am not a doctor (or something else starting with a “D”). Variations are endless, but common ones include IANAL (lawyer) or IANAM (moderator).

Questions about this kind of stuff typically goes in the About the Message Board (ATMB) forum.

And welcome aboard, freewill!

Many are explained here…

A thread like this should go in ATMB. The questions have been asked and answered so many times I’ll just close this thread and direct you to one of the previous threads, linked to above.
