In fact, Canada has quite a lot of illegal immigrants. It’s just that it’s not as much of an issue politically.
The American government would fortify the border if they were legitimately concerned about Canada’s immigration policies. They don’t, because they aren’t. The feds make noise about beefing security to placate immigrant-haters, and do some things for show, but the fact still remains that when I drive across the border, more than half the tiime they don’t even ask to see my ID, and pretty much any idiot could get across the border without even going through a checkpoint.
