Former Governor George Ryan was sentenced today to 6 1/2 years in prison and ordered to pay $600,000 for various charges he was convicted of back in April.
I guess 6 1/2 is better than nothing. The best thing is that his political career is over.
Are there really states where everything on the news isn’t about some politician or judge or alderman or somebody like that going to jail? Or do I just live to close to “Da City”?
I hope they call it “Governor Blagojevich’s Governor Blagojevich Trial”
(For those of you not from Illinois, the man is infamous for attaching his name before every damn program, even those he works so hard to prevent. And it’s “Blah-GOY-a-vitch”.)
