I'm 45 and lately I've become really, really tired of fast food - Am I alone?

Ugh…

Count me in as one of the people who can’t eat McDonald’s. I don’t know why, but my organic garbage disposal can’t handle it. Wendy’s is pretty much the only big fast food burger chain that I can handle.

I’m certainly no food snob either, I eat basically everything. It’s just that McDonald’s is absolutely horrible tasting. BK isn’t too bad, but not great either.

I used to eat fast food all the time, it just seems to have lost it’s luster for me. As a kid, getting anything like that was a big treat, so when I finally had a job, and a car, I pretty much lived on the stuff. Now I’m just so sick of it that the thought of eating it is enough to make me no longer hungry.

35, and while I haven’t forsaken fast food entirely, it’s definitely not something I consider a major reward. It’s currently something I can tolerate or skip, but I do feel the malaise creeping in; given a choice between McBurgers or a real sit-down restaurant with real cuisine, McBurgers loses every time.

About the only reason I even go to McDonalds any more is for a Coke, and that’s only if the drive-thru is more convenient than going to a 7-11.

You’re not alone, I’ve cut it out almost completely, it’s not that good for one thing.

I finally realized that a lot of the times I stopped at one was because I’d “forgotten to eat again” (I know, you have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat:D, what I mean is that I’d hit the ground running and not eat until early afternoon). I won’t go to McDonalds anymore, they are just so bland and yucky (except for their cookies).

I still occasionally get Taco Belle and the Market Fresh sandwiches from Arby’s are good, and the occasional weekend pizza, other than that? I finally figured “why am I going here??, it’s gross!!” and pretty much quit.

I try to keep pure protein(brand name thingie) bars, or apples or something in my car in case I get to running around and “forget to eat”.

Much cheaper and better for you than fast food.

I’m 20, and I don’t eat fast food. Ever. Granted I’m as good as vegetarian (I eat a tiny bit of seafood), but even before that I had given up fast food. When I was a fair bit younger (Say 14 or earlier) I liked it from time to time, but was never really a big fan to start with.

When I was younger I used to like McFood, but now I rarely eat that stuff anymore. When I go to a McPlace, the only reason is it is smoke free while many other diners may not even have non-smoking sections.

I haven’t had a fast-food burger, fries - anything like that - since I was about 32 or 33. I’m 42 now and although I still don’t eat and excercise as well as I’m supposed to, having all that crap out of my daily habit has a) felt really good and b) hasn’t been missed for one minute.

I’m 29, and don’t care for fast food anymore (though I never did, much). OK, I still love hot, salty, well-made fries. And Dr. Pepper. But I don’t eat burgers, and never set foot in McDonald’s or Burger King. When we eat fast food, I either have a Wendy’s salad or a Jack in the Box egg rolls (which aren’t very good, and often make me feel oogy, but I figure they’re at least unlikely to be crawling with salmonella, having been frozen and then boiled in hot oil). I do like Togo’s!

I hear you!

Except McDonalds, the whore that they are, have those Might Kids meals that must contain not only a cool toy, but are dusted with crack, as my precious perfect children cannot pass a McD’s without pressing their faces to the car window shreiking,
" IwannagotoMcDonald’s."

McDonald’s I curse thee.

you can buy the toy sans meal for either $1 or $2 dollars. But only if the kids are asleep in the back.

I stopped eating at places like that about 10 years ago. I sometimes, as in once a year if that, goto a fast food joint but only for breakfast. I’m not even sure if I could eat a burger any more. I do goto Subway sometimes but I don’t think that Subway and McD’s are the same.

I’m 21 and I’m sick of fast food. Unfortunately for me, we eat it almost every day at work. I work for a cleaning service, and we’re pressed for time so we go to McDonalds or Wendy’s everyday. I like Wendy’s better. We’ve stopped going to McDonalds because we kept finding hair in our food and got sick of it.
