Usually kittens aren’t interested in it, but when they hit adulthood, it suddenly starts to be attractive. However, there’s quite a large percentage of adult cats who never get into it.
Blue seems to be trying to make up for lost time in that clip.

All our cats like catnip to some extent, but our calico freaks out for it, and I mean freaks out. She wails like a wild eyed dope fiend when I get the box out. When she gets her fix she rolls and flops like she’s being electrocuted, and her eyes roll around in her head like she’s having a seizure. It’s a little disturbing. If the other cats even try to come close to her stash, she’ll go into Bruce Lee whoopass mode on all of them simulatanously.
