I'm a denier denier

And curse you Gaudere’s rule.

What Dylan said was: “The Times They Are a-Changin”

Which he denies …

Try reading for comprehension. I said the placement of the comma after women makes it look like you believe that no woman could possibly reach your level of talent. Unless you claim to be the best coder in the world that is highly unlikely, and if you were that good you wouldn’t have any concerns about the competition, so no reason to complain about any help that women may receive. I think you come off more as a pathetic whiner than anything else.

This topic really delivered

Lol. I think this was meant to be a cheap shot. Funny thing is, I actually did score a 780 (old scale, when 1600 was the max). Guess it wasn’t high enough. I actually didn’t apply to Harvard, but no, I would not have been accepted - even 15 years ago, I had the wrong skin color and insufficiently perfect class ranking to even have a shot…

Damn. I am out of popcorn.
Will be back in a few.

Damn, unless you scored way low on the math portion, why wouldn’t Harvard take you? I was accepted every school I applied to sans a high school diploma, although admittedly these were all public schools, Cal Berkley, SDSU, OSU and U of Oregon.

BTW, the scales are the same per test, just they added a third test for a maximum score of 2400 … I too tested when maximum was 1600.

You’re kidding, right? They reject hundreds of applicants with perfect scores every year. Who are also class valedictorians. To get into Harvard, you need to be

  1. The class valedictorian with 2. Extracurriculars that aren’t UIL computer science and 3. above 1500 on the SAT and 4. lucky with #1-3.

Or, you know someone. Or, if you are black. Not that it matters much. Quality of education is pretty good at state schools, Harvard isn’t the strongest STEM school, you would rack up 60 Gs of student loans a year, and so on. I’m not bitter, I was just trying to say I didn’t get to summer in the Hamptons and go to Harvard Business with people my daddy introduced during golf games, etc, etc, etc. Those are the people who benefit from the “patriarchy”.

Really? I though Harvard and all them Ivy League schools were just small Liberal Arts colleges, like Vassar or Grambling. If they’re so good how come their football teams suck so fucking bad?

I think the poster is questioning whether the comma was “misplaced”. There’s a change in meaning when you use the non-restrictive clause, and from the poster’s point of view, that ‘mistake’ was actually pretty consistent with everything else you’ve written in terms of its tone.

For the record, I ain’t got no dog in this fight.

Exactly.

That’s what matters.

The Southeastern Conference is the real Ivy League.

Pac-12 schools are the finest in the world, just y’all go to bed too early Saturday nights.
