While there is some truth to that, the general “don’t be a jerk” rule helps us to cover cases where folks use weasel words and rules lawyering to try to get away with something that they shouldn’t.

That part probably did it. I think the rest of it was spot on. I don’t know your rap sheet here, but you don’t seem like a problem poster, I’m surprised you didn’t just get a note under the circumstances of responding to an insult, even allowable as that insult may have been.

I agree, I think Saint Cad’s post was fairly reasonable except “shove the accusation of sexism up your ass where it belongs.”

I will make a plea for this to be reduced to a Note due to context, but yeah, that one line crossed the line.

I’m just not interested in arguing with you about it. As I stated, my response was what I would have said. In my opinion, yours are not so good. If you happen to make a sexist remark, you can try them out!

I suspect that the mods are not likely to do so because of the context. One of the reason they have stated for giving out warnings is to help the poster realize they were out of line.

Someone who started not just one, but two threads in ATBM complaining is not likely to be seem to be owning their behavior.

This was just referring to the current thing about other Mods and the torch bearers demanding a pound of flesh. Nothing person and I apologize that the smiley didn’t make it clear.
