I'm fucking mad at the people in the US who support and promote adult bullies.

Hmmm…it’s sounding more and more like there’s some longstanding animus at work there. Maybe Trump tried to be nice or friendly to her at some point in the past, and being a successful conservative businessman and therefore everything she likely abhors, she was rude to him or snubbed him in some way. It definitely looks like Trump has it in for her for some reason.

As to the rest of that claptrap you posted upthread, I would think that if you really believed it you’d be more upset with Heidi Klum for devaluing women based on their looks than Donald Trump. After all she’s the one who’s make a career (and a fortune) capitalizing on the notion that beautiful women are more valuable to society. After all, people like you had no trouble whatsoever attacking and insulting women who wanted to be housewives during the days when the feminist police were all het up that every woman should have a career and not be dependent on men.

And of course your hypothesis ignores the fact that good-lookin men have more value to society too. I don’t see too many guys who look like Billy Bob Thornton being granted the fame, career, money and popularity that George Clooney and Brad Pitt enjoy. Are those two guys somehow damaging the value of men in society? Of course not. The notion is ridiculous, and so is yours. Smart people, good-looking people, talented people and successful people all get afforded more value by society. Such is life and you’ll never change it. Stop trying to turn everything into a PC windmill that everyone has to tilt at.

Do you have even the slightest bit of evidence that Trump disapproved of Klum’s relationship with Seal because he was a black guy? Or is it merely a stereotype you jump to because he’s a conservative? I’m going with the latter myself.

No, I’m afraid we don’t know any such thing, assuming your assertion is based on what Trump has said about illegal immigration. It’s only racist to those who believe that any and all behavior should be tolerated without complaint if it comes from a politically protected group. And that of course is nonsense.

That article is a biased hit piece. Numerous anonymous Trump “friends” being critical of Trump and references to how long he can keep the dialog going as to whether “television anchors are menstruating”…a ridiculous assertion which suggests he not only referred to Kelly as menstruating (a silly accusation that has largely been discredited even on this board) but that he may well intend to keep pondering the menstrual cycles of tv anchors through next spring.

I’d be skeptical of anything coming from a source like this.

My fondest wish is that he’ll not only win the nomination, but have long coattails. Because I know the only destination a Trump candidacy can have in 2016 is the nearest ditch.

Lynchings, on the other hand…

Valium was not a thing in the 50s. You heard it here, folks!

Yea, it was great if you happened to be a cishet white dude.

For white Christian straight men, sure. For black people, other minorities, homosexuals, other religions, women, not so much.

I’m glad things are different, and so are virtually all of the older black people, older homosexuals, older minorities, and older women I know, have spoken to, and have read/heard from.

I trust older black people far, far more than you to tell me the honest truth about what life was like for black people in the '50s. And from what they tell me, America was a bad place for black people in the '50s… a very dangerous place, a place with little opportunity, and a place full of hatred and random brutality.

I deny it. So there.

Is there lots of consternation? My family (of the far right variety) has had quite a bit of hand wringing going on, but for me and all my bleeding heart friends, we’ve only been laughing at the absurdity, knowing that the republicans would never nominate such a loose cannon to actually helm the ship. Just one data point.

As to the last part of your post… if people that share his same basic philosophy (IE: conservative), wouldn’t y’all be defeating your own purpose if he made it that far by voting for him? Sure, it’d be hilarious watching the liberals twist in the wind, I’m sure, but you’ll have to deal with the aftermath of his presidency too. I’m thinking that’d be a lot of “cut your nose off to spite your face” situation for you guys.

Trump cited as inspiration by suspect in Mexican man’s beating

Haven’t you ever been passionately inspired by love of your country to savagely beat a minority? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Making up words is fun! Seriously, how did cishet get by your spell-checker? You do use one, right?

As I pointed before the OP is also talking about the bullies that are standard issue among nativists and racists.

For even indirect connections Obama was repeatedly put down by the extreme right as being too close to extremists.

Now that it is clear that Trump does not mind joining bullies with a badge like Arpaio in Arizona.

Mind you, Trump appeared on stage in Arizona with Arpaio on his recent rally months after the courts already concluded that Arpaio did target Latinos during Arizona police traffic operations. The ruling extended to both regular and “saturation” patrols, where deputies would flood predominantly Hispanic neighbourhoods.

The right wing media just forgets to tell their viewers about who is Trump allying with.

Now here is what I can observe coming from the personal stories about standing up about bullies. The apologists of Trump seem to be forgetting here that legal residents and citizens did stand up to a bully here. You would think that what Hispanics did would be then praised by the Trump supporters that admire standing up to bullies here. And currently Arpaio is in court fighting contempt of court charges, apparently people that disregard the the rule of law are buddies of Trump.

Career criminals commit yet another crime. Film at 11.

Be honest. If someone cited Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson as inspiration for their heinous act of violence, you wouldn’t be quite so cavalier, would you?

Speaking of classic bully behaviour, it is better to deal with points that are like motes but the big beam items in their eye like the bullying of Arpaio and many other people like him among the Republicans are not touched by the Trump supporters.

Trump excuses career criminals and calls them “passionate” people who “love” America. Film at 11.

Darn coffee has not kicked in.

The point was that what I see here is classic bully behaviour, I see that for some it is better to deal with points that are like motes but the big beam items in the eye of the Trumpetists are ignored, the bullying of Arpaio and many other people like him among the Republicans is conveniently avoided by the Trump supporters.

“They are old, fat, and ugly losers.” [Trump]

It wasn’t; not til '63. Before Valium mother had loads of other, stronger, more dangerous little helpers to choose from, like Seconal. And an assortment of amphetamines to wake her up. Plus booze.

It’s a recent addition to the English language, but it’s a perfectly cromulent word. All the cool kids use it and know what it means. Get caught up, Gramps.

So was “groovy” back in the day. No one uses it seriously, now. $1 Million internet bucks to you when “cishet” is added to the OED.

It’s really news when 30,000 racists gather in Alabama?

I once saw four million racists gather in Alabama.

It turned out to be just people who lived there.

Yeah, that’s right, I took an entirely unwarranted shot at Alabama. Call me a bully and elect me president, already!
