I'm going to Chicago - can we dope?

Last minute bump.

I’m leaving the office in an hour and a half. I still haven’t heard definate plans for Thrusday night. You know my hotel (I posted it), so you can leave a message or call up to my room (whatever it’ll be). The last name is HISLOP.

And could somebody please give all pertinent info to anya marie?

Hello?

jarbabyj?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Oops, I meant WEDNESDAY night.

(although, if we want to do it again on Thursday…)

OK, for the last time…and let’s all write it down!

On Wednesday, May 16th…we do not have cubs tickets.

We are going to go to the Goose Island Brewery at the corner of Addison and Clark…there’s a big baseball field right next to it, you can’t miss it!

However, parking there is poor on the best of days, so I suggested that those who can train it, train it, the rest of us will carpool, and those arrangements can be made via email.

I have a car. Mike has a car. I also have an apartment on the north side, which I have offered to take Spritle to after work…although I usually get out of work kind of early, so I need to know his schedule.

Unfortunately, I going to have to bow out of this one. But jarbaby said Goose Island, and since no one objected, Goose Island stands.

I’m off to the airport!!

jarbabyj, thanks for the e-mail; I’ll call you this evening when I get settled into the hotel.

I can take the train up to where you guys are, so I guess I’ll be meeting you there. I will need a ride home, though, so be forewarned.

I have to take the train up to chicago anyway, and i will likely be using the cta sometime on this trip . Are we going to make the reservation under the name of CECIL?
you will know me by my bangs, i comb my hair to make my bangs cover my right eye.

How far from Wrigley Field to the Goose Island Brewery

About twenty steps north. I drove by yesterday and it was a mad house at 5:45, so we MAY have to wait. The key will be when everyone goes over to the game, some tables will clear out.

I don’t think we can make reservations…but ye shall know me by my ubiquitous pigtails and annoying, bellowing laughter. Also, my husband will be standing next to me, and he’ll be tan and bearded.

As of now, I don’t think I’m going to drive…boy and me and spritle I assume will take the train from my house…but if someone has a better plan, let me know.

jarbaby

when I was online last night, I tried to find directions, and it was like killing dandelions. I found out how to get to Wrigley from the Randolph St. South Shore station so…
I shall be arriving in the early afternoon and will find my way to Goose Island from there.

OK, 4 hours and counting…

jarbabyj, when are you leaving your house? email me at mikegdkb@att.net to confirm and coordinate.

If I don’t hear from you, I’ll show up to Goose Island around 6:30-7ish and just hang out.

REMEMBER if you are driving, Night Parking restrictions are in place!!! This means that you cannot park on any side streets. Irving Park, Southport, Clark, and Broadway (commercial streets)are all right but will almost certainly be be filled up by the time we get there.

See you all there!

Ok.

I have just spoken to a young Mr. Spritle who will be joining Mr. and Mrs. Jarbaby in a threesome.

A TRAVEL THREESOME

To Goose Island. We will arrive, sans car, but avec joy…at approximately 6:42.

So who’s on the schedule?

MikeG
Spritle
Jarbaby
Tiggeril?
Anya Marie
Mr. Jarbaby…

anyone else? Can Gundy stop by after the game or if the game gets too boring? Like the Cubs winning 13 to 1 in the eighth?

jarbaby

It was fun to finally meet some Chidopers, but on the way to Goose Island i kept getting lost. I was an hour late,
and for no reason that I can fathom i ended up staying at the Days Inn on the Gold Coast.

Gaudere the Mod also said hello.

I have no sense of direction at all.

Hello all my Chi-doper friends!!!

Just wanted to send a super big “Thank you” to everyone who showed up at Goose Island Wed. I had one H-E-double toothpicks of a good time. The beers were wonderful and the company outstanding. A super thanks to the ovely Ms. jarbabyj for all the leg work. All who came were really cool people. Mr. jarbabyj does in fact exist.

So here I am in Maryland, missing Chicago and suffering from a bad cold. Thanks again.

Oops, for got to mention that I’m sorry I didn’t get to chat with Gaudere or Anya Marie as much as I would have liked to.

Also, thanks to Tiggerill for helping me find my way back to the hotel.

I’ll stop, before this starts to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech.

Thanks again. Of course, if any or all of you ever make it out to the DC area…
