I have a pretty large hernia just above my navel that must be repaired Friday morning.
Thing is…I’ve never been under general anethtisia. (sp?) :eek:
any advice?
General anesthesia ain’t so bad. The good part is you’ll be out of it and you won’t know what’s going on. You’ll just wake up all groggy and goofy. With any luck friends and family will get to hear you say stuff they can use as ammo for years to come. 
Seriously, I’m sending good doper vibes, thoughts and prayers your way for a speedy recovery. I’m also wishing you good pain meds. Nothin’ like them good pain meds. Oh, and don’t forget to let us know how you came through it, ok? After all, we’re dopers, we revel in the minutiae of everyone’s everyday life. 
I’m a little nervous of course. But, I have a good Doctor and I trust him so its cool.
I really hope he gives me a prescription of Vicoden…That stuff works baby!
Oh yeah… I’m also having a ganglia removed from my wrist.
It’s a lot better than it used to be, I think. I can still remember how sick I was when I got my tonsils out as a kid. Thirty years later, I had it again for another minor operation and it wasn’t bad at all.
