I'm in Munich! What should I see?

The Glockenspiel in Marienplatz

I went on a brewery tour there once that was quite memorable.

I went to Munchen a few years back.

It’s no Berlin. I didn’t like the Weisswurst, and was not inspired by the English Gardens. Dachau was interesting, but did not make me think more highly of Munich. I did like the beer, nightlife and Deutches Museum, though.

Bitch, bitch, bitch!

That is something you probably DON’T want to say in Munich, no matter how true it is.

Yes, I love German sausages. Big, meaty sausages.

Also, the Viktualienmarkt was kinda interesting. That could be a fun 30-minute detour from your day.

I was just there in August. I second the Viktualienmarkt and eating some Weisswurst! I also really, really loved the Wolpertinger exhibit in the German Hunting and Fishing Museum. It’s just off the main drag, so it’s worth a brief detour if you like funny, quirky little finds in your travels. They’re crazy glued-together little critters (i guess for when hunters accidentally blast off the wrong parts of the animals they want to stuff and end up with a lot of odds and ends) but they’re displayed in a glass case with an explanation placard right next to all the real, legitimate exhibits of glassy-eyed stuffed foxes and herons.
