I'm in the ER (posted 2023-01-31, now home)

Sending continued good thoughts for you.

Better safe than sorry.

Oh, my gosh! I hope you get some answers soon and heal quickly.

@davidm best wishes for a speedy recovery! I hope they find it and treat it effectively.

Im finally in a real room. Up till now, I was in the observation unit because there were no other beds available.

We are praying for you. Get well soon. Let us know how we can help.

Keep fighting the good fight. And…

get back in the ring to take another swing!

best wishes. I was in that position back in 2019.

Did they give you a thrombolytic soon enough to avoid permanent damage?

Not at all an expert on anything, but your typing is perfectly fine, which I hope is a good sign?

Thoughts and prayers to you, David.

It may not even have been a stroke, it was just a pinprick on the scan, but yes they’ve been giving me Lovonox injections and aspirin.

My mental faculties are as sharp (or unsharp) as ever and my physical agility seems to have returned.

Im going home today. I’ll have some new prescriptions and will follow up with some specialists.

It could simply be an inner ear infection that can easily be treated by medication, so let’s hope it’s that simple! :heartbeat:

Sounds like good news overall. Glad you’re getting to go home.

Honestly, going to a hospital seems like watching some intruder in the NASA control room pushing buttons to see what happens. It took forever to diagnose my nephew’s problem (dizziness, fainting), which resulted in having a pacemaker put in. Take care.

Best wishes.

Glad you are heading home today!

I’m so glad you’re able to go home!

Welcome home!

I’m home and I’ll be taking a statin and a small dose of aspirin every day from now on. I have to follow up with a cardiologist and a neurologist.
