I'm NEVER going to college...

Me vs. The World… and The World is winning

So I check my mail on Saturday, and recieve a letter stating that I need to contact Undergraduate admissions by June 15 about a $200 enrollment deposit or my admission will be cancelled. Except for the fact that I didn’t recieve it until the 26, nor was it post marked until the 25th. :smack: So, I went to the Undergraduate Office and was informed (rather rudely if I might say) that I suck (maybe not those exact words), and that I have to write a formal letter explaining what happened. The letter will then get reviewed and they will get back to me in a week or so. That guy was treating me like I was some irresponsibe child, and didn’t deserve to be seen in his office. I wanted to smack him. I may or may not be able to take classes this fall. How much does that bite the big one?? I never heard anything of this deposit, nor did my mom (who is always on my back about it all - she knows stuff that I don’t usually, and she didn’t have any idea!) WTF??? I think the world is striving for me to fail, and at this point it’s winning. YOU WIN THIS TIME WORLD. But I’m not giving up yet. I’m so stressed just thinking about it that I can feel my face starting to break out. What am I supposed to do if they say “Sorry, but you suck and we hate you… no fall classes for you!” Maybe I can find me a nice box, and live on the side of the street in a nice neighborhood… Goodness knows the whole higher education world doesn’t want me. :frowning:

ARGH!

That’s not the first time I’ve heard colleges give ludicrous demands. At my college, they had a fee increase, but since it was after most people paid their fees, the retroactively billed everybody who already paid for the difference, and made the due date something like 1-2 days after the notice came in the mail

They make the payment end of it rediculously convoluted, and this is hard even for the people who can AFFORD to go to school but have trouble figuring out when they have to pay, what form of payment they have to pay, etc.
