I'm not looking for trouble, but...

Please bear in mind, that in the eyes of the cops, the guy on the cycle is always wrong.

Not too sure of that, Bosda - I’ve gotten away with warnings for riding the tram lane, and for highway speeding. Both on my bike. I can assure you that had I been in my car, two tickets would have been written.

Of course, the fact that both offenses were observed by motorcycle cops may have helped.

Well, since you asked Coldfire, the car in the garage is a 1967 Camaro RS Convertible  I’m going to play with some re-arrangements but bottom line is, the car is way more important than the bike. I’d just die if that car got as much as a speck of dust on it. Of course, to some of you this might add a new twist to the equation since any action by my could potentially be escalated back to this car.

I think at this point my response will be in escalating stages, depending on the outcome of each step.

  1. Write a letter protesting the violation. I still don’t understand how anyone can believe that someone would park a motorcycle in front of a garage, especially with so much space directly next to the driveway.

  2. Call DPT next time their car is in front of their driveway. Hey, I’m just trying to be a conscientious neighbor.

  3. Egg the car (with timing more in line with voltaire’s suggestion…nice and cold).

  4. Resign myself to defeat and try to remember the times when my luck went the opposite way…

Gary T the same thought passed through my mind - the inexplicable possibility that someone kids are just messing with me. However, I just don’t understand why this wouldn’t occur when I park my bike at different locations.

I appreciate the objective responses to this thread, if anything it has allowed me a cooling off period and presented a more democratic method of formulating a response.
