I am currently sitting in an internet cafe in Rhodes, closer to the Turkish Coast than mainland Greece. I’ve been here a week and a bit and it’s gorgeous. Rar.

Glad you’re having a nice time. This weekend’s been good over here - 25C was the minimum temperature in England on Saturday, and Kent had temperatures along the lines of 33C. You really didn’t need to go away

Hey Francesca, I’ve been to the Cyclades islands; I think they’re in the next island group over from Rhodes. If you have a chance, check out the beaches on Mykonos.
And ignore Coldfire’s comment about beer. Have an ouzo for us!

Seriously, have a fantastic time, and eat some baklava and kadaifi for me. Watch that ouzo, but make sure to sip some retsina in the sunset over the wine-dark sea.

I got home yesterday. It was a very lovely holiday. And no Coldie, we didn’t take a small sheep. Last year we took one to Italy and lost him on the plane home so we were naturally nervous that should happen again. We did miss the sheep though. Lieu, I’m afraid I couldn’t find your sunglasses. I bought you back a rock, though. It’s very nice.
The food was fabulous - lots of saganaki and stifado and taramasalata. The wine was pretty good too.
In case anyone is interested, here are my holiday photos. I had to use two albums because msn hates me and I went over my storage quota. They’ve got commentary and everything.
