I just spent about ten minutes playing with the nifty cursor thing at http://www.dacor.com. The web page is not the point here - it’s just a stove manufacturor’s website. It’s the nifty thing the front page does with the cursor that’s so cool.
yewww… that other site is cool, but I gotta say that big bug/slug thing gives me the willies. Especially how it chases the cursor around. I’m going to have nightmares about that.
Count me in on that one.

oooo…sorry about that. It was kinda gross, wasn’t it? The last time I was at the site, it was a ball in a pool of water, and the ball followed the cursor and created waves in the pool.
That is the coolest stove i have ever seen
Yeah, the stove is nice all right. Sadly, it is the size of my entire kitchen. Some people have walk-in closets, I have a walk-in kitchen.
I had fun looping the text that was chasing the cursor, back onto itself, trying to make it spell naughty words.
For all you HTML guys out there, you can download the javascript that does that cool little text-chasey thing at this URL:
Go to the Script Center on the left side of the screen, select “text, scroller, ticker” effects.
The name of the script is “TextSnake, the cursor-hunting beast. N E W as cross-browser.” It’s about 3/4 of the way down the page in that section.
