“I’m sorry Mr. Magellan, we just don’t have enough bungees lift your huge puckering anus.” — Thunderdome Management

who knew?
It seems Fukushima and Global Warming are too much for the Dope to reasonably discuss.
Go figure.
Of course he would mind . . . he’s not here to engage or think rationally about any of this stuff. For him, it’s all about the feels.
A few posts back, he quoted a claim that we have “weather on steroids.”
When I asked him for specific examples of “weather on steroids,” here was his response:
I fear no matter how tired of global warming we may become, it won’t care.
Would you say it takes a “simple creature” to confuse the difference between (1) which temperatures will be used as a baseline in calculating anomalies; and (2) which year will be used as a starting point in assessing temperature trends?
Looks to me like you are the one who is bullshitting.
Still, you deserve credit for just slinking away in shame instead of doubling down with lies and arrogance like septimus did.
Too late, brazil. Only two may enter Thunderdome. You’ll have to wait your turn.
yeah, but at least GIGO won’t post in this topic anymore.
She won’t care, come on, get with the AGW’s. She’s seeing her flowers and that’s why she’s being a bitch.
That’s okay, it seems I’m pretty much done with septimus and battle pope.
Not sure what to say about GarbageSpewer, he’s been on my ignore list for years.
We’ll see who’s next. But I hope you are enjoying your masturbation.
Insulting somebody you are trying to convince of something is a bad tactic. Even when some fuckhead realizes they are wrong, they won’t admit a damn thing, because you have caused the perception of yourself to become “the enemy”, and the emotional immaturity of a fuckhead prevents them from ever admitting a single thing to an enemy.
Oh my yes. You have no idea. Although I fear you’re a lot hotter in my fantasies
I agree, but in the case of global warming it doesn’t really matter, since the warmists are here just for the feels anyway. So it doesn’t matter if you are diplomatic to the max in gently pointing out that they are wrong – they will not change their mind.
Not publicly anyway. I have a pretty good feeling that septimus is not going to repeat the lie he told in the other thread. Although he may invent new ones.
Probably because your fantasies involve a lot of global warming.
Keep telling youself that.
On your side of the argument we have you and FX and a few other idiots.
On our side of the argument :

So on the balance of that, I’ll go with the scientific community rather than the ignorant rantings of a few dickheads, who if it wasn’t climate change would be out there arguing for creationism, that the moon landings didn’t happen, anti-vaccination is a good thing or abusing science to support bizzare racist assertions (oh wait…).
What exactly does the American Academy of Pediatrics say on this issue? (I picked them from your list at random)
Perhaps I do not disagree with them.
P.S. Do you agree that there is a difference between (1) which temperatures will be used as a baseline in calculating anomalies; and (2) which year will be used as a starting point in assessing temperature trends?
What exactly do you think is my position on climate change? Would it surprise you to learn that I do believe mankind’s CO2 emissions are likely to cause an increase in global surface temperatures?
So I called the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and they said they’ve never heard of you, or the SDMB. They also said they aren’t doing any climate change research at this time, and referred me to their Hydrology Institute in Bratislava. So that only leaves 196 international acclaimed institutes.
So, are you arguing “hyper-canes” every fifteen minutes in 10 years … or are you arguing 3 feet sea level rise in 100 years … just curious.
I’m not sure if the American Academy of Pediatrics is qualified to make expert pronouncements on global warming, but I did notice this:
Do you agree with this assertion?
