I'm sick of this Global Warming!

On the one hand, that’s a rather extreme if understandable position to hold.

On the other hand: Alex Jones? Seriously? Just link to the damn article itself.

Yeah, Alex Jones is a nutter, no doubt. But at least he reported on it. And his conspiracy nuttiness doesn’t take the crazy away from the douchebag professor. There seems to be plenty to go around.

On a more serious note, it’s dangerous when this stuff gets to be the religion it has become. next thing you know they’ll be burning books that question some aspect of climate change. Hell, I bet that nutty professor would love that.

Lol, that’s funny. By the way, I suspect what he really means is that people who question the Sacred (But Undefined) Theory of Global Warming should be prosecuted.

For example, Septimus seems to have told a blatant lie in the other thread concerning the long-term relationship of temperatures and CO2. Would The Nutty Professor want Septimus to be prosecuted? Somehow I doubt it.

They trust science, unlike you chucklefucks sitting in your own sick and tut-tutting about how your layperson gumption allows you to overturn the vast agreement of thousands of peer-reviewed works.

You’re just the town fool wearing a broken pot he found as a crown.

If you were trying to create an Onion piece, it would be hard to beat that blog for parody.

To be fair, the blogger is talking about wanting “organizations” that seek to sway public opinion to be liable for criminal action by the GOVERNMENT. In essence, if an organized group of people “lie and deceive”, he wants that to be a crime. Can you imagine any government passing a law that makes publicly deceiving people a crime? Like anyone in power is going to open that door.

Meanwhile, the stupid continues on that blog.

So the things that are actually happening, those are “lightning rods” for skeptics. I noticed he left out “that the global mean hasn’t gone up for 17 years” from the list of things skeptics like to debate.

Meanwhile, hows that global warming doing in Chicago?

Just show me one peer-reviewed scientific paper that proves hypercanes will happen. Hell, just show me a peer-reviewed scientific paper that even describes what a hypercane is.

I’d rather be a fool with a rat-scepter than an obedient peasant.

As far as being arrested, come and get me fuckers, I dare you.

So, hows that global warming working out in Chicago?

Aw, I’m so glad you’re back. I missed you.

The ineffable humor is that if this year, like the 2012 winter, was an anomaly, unseasonably warm, mild and sunny, the alarmists fuckheads would be coming all over each other saying it’s global warming.

Let’s listen to a fuckhead in action.

http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/The-312/January-2012/Chicagos-Warm-Winter-Weather-and-Global-Warming/

Since the winter trend is actually quite easy to see in the Chicago region, what he is saying is complete bullshit. It’s ignorant. An actual Meteorologist would check and then tell you what has happened, and why we can expect colder winters for Chicago and other areas.

A mild warm winter would be the exception.

And it’s not “extreme weather events”, it’s a goddamn cold winter. It’s not a “cold snap”. it’s not “extreme weather”, it’s pretty much the same as past cold winters.

The denial is strong in some, when it comes to facing reality.

We set a record high temperature yesterday, the hottest March 18th in the past year. I’m expecting 700 foot tidal waves any minute now.

Well the warmers are great at post-diction, i.e. looking at weather and climate data after the fact and explaining how it’s consistent with the Sacred (But Undefined) Theory of Global Warming.

But they are not so great at making actual bona fide specific and interesting predictions which come to pass.

(evidently the left one isn’t working that well)

Once again, would you remind responding to Post 2133?

Thanks!

Let’s say for the sake of argument that the whole thing is a huge lie.
Meh, at least we’ll get more efficient power sources, vehicles and appliances as a result, ideally.

If only that were true.

I dunno, hybrid cars are a tad nifty.

In fairness, GIGO’s latest moved-goalposts claim seems to fit the bill: he says we’ll see at least a tenth-of-a-degree rise per decade, which (a) strikes me as both specific and interesting, and (b) can be vindicated, or proven false, in relatively short order.

Ah, now it begins to make sense. You’ve been badly misled as to what “humor” is.

Maybe we should start again from the beginning.

I love them, and I love the Tesla even more. There is little doubt now the powerful forces against Tesla (and anyone else trying to sell an electric car) are motivated directly by money. The threat of electric cars, especially ones like the Tesla, that offer free charging powered by solar energy, are an absolute threat to the profits of the POWERS THAT RUN THE WORLD (TPTRTW).

It’s the same for anyone actually doing something about making solar energy easy and affordable to use. TPTRTW are against anything that threatens them, and they fight dirty, hard, and to win. They always have.

From the now almost dead other thread:

As I said before, even if CO2 is going to make it colder, the oceans are a real concern for the level of CO2 that is happening. We need to know, with experiments, what high levels of CO2 will do to sea life. (it may end up increasing it, we simply do not know)

Not if the current effort to “blame” colder winters on global warming pay off. Don’t laugh, the idiot public will buy almost anything if “the consensus” and enough FUD is used on them.

Nuclear power is nifty, too.

I’d like to think that if mankind had spent the money spent on war and horrors, on developing thorium reactors instead, we might be seeing clean inexpensive nuclear power instead of coal.

The current nuclear reactors and central power generation is dangerous, expensive, and just more of the same old fashioned mindset that considers 5 billion dollars for a reactor a good idea, but five billion dollars to add solar power, and insulate buildings, to be wasteful. Even when 5 billion dollars would reduce power use so the reactor isn’t needed.

It’s not just TPTRTW that hate solar and wind, even those who profess fear and concern over AGW fight against wind turbines, as well as simply not installing solar for themselves, even when they can easily afford it.

People are funny when it comes to them spending THEIR OWN MONEY, but quite willing to demand that “they” have to change. It’s like, Those “other people” need to do something, but don’t ask me to change a thing.
