Of course, none of the elite give a flying fuck about the effect of this stuff on the masses. I understand that sentiment, as well as many other political/moral disputes, which revolve more around power and money than science.

It’s the scientific that fascinates me. As well as the psychological events, the mass hysteria and the seeming ability of a political/media effort to convince millions of people that what they are experiencing firsthand is less important than what “experts” and politicians are telling them is happening.

You have this extreme winter that happened while the latest US report was being finished up, combined with the pressure not to talk about the col d events (it’s still far too new for the modified theory to be mentioned in any official report), so the climate change report doesn’t have anything i it about the reality that is happening. *Cohen et al * is sound science, peer reviewed, but that doesn’t mean any of the latest findings will be in the official story.

So while they are still dealing with record ice in Lake Superior, they are being told that milder winters will lead to less suffering.

It’s fucking madness. Because the record cold winter wasn’t some anomaly. It fits right in with the long term trend.

It’s sick.

Why an article from 1973 and not studies concerning shoreline advance, etc? For example, several are discussed in this 2010 report:

I know, but that they are unfamiliar with the science and theory of global climate change doesn’t mean much, except maybe that self proclaimed internet experts are mostly dumb as rocks and easily misled.

The enhanced greenhouse effect theory of climate change is actually specific about how to tell if climate change is from an enhanced greenhouse effect. And winter warming in the NH high latitudes, as well as arctic amplification, is very specific.

Same for the expected warming from an increase in water vapor, the really big assumption that will lead to runaway warming, the catastrophic warming feared by so many. They actually expect more water vapor, more clouds, more precipitation, to lead to more warming. So that the entire climate system goes out of control and the planet warms up rapidly, and dangerously. More water, more warming, more water, more warming. People actually believe this.

Along with this is an assumption that warmer oceans and atmosphere will lead to less ice at the poles. Greenland and Antarctica will melt, raising sea levels in a drastic and rapid manner. Once again, the assumption is more warmth, more water, more melting, more water, more warming, more melting, more water, more warmth, a feedback loop. People actually believe this.

These are all part of the theory. And then there is a great methane release from melting permafrost and undersea methane deposits. Once again, will lead to drastic warming, leading to more methane, more warming, more methane.

These are things that can be observed, measured, and understood. Unlike the foggy claims of “worse weather” and “more extreme events”, so often predicted after a single weather event.

After Katrina the doomsayers wet themselves claiming “this is the new normal”, and instead we observed the almost complete lack of hurricanes. Until Sandy, when the warmists once again jumped about in glee, claiming once again, weather was climate, and this is what the future holds.

And they simply can’t see it. Can’t understand what they appear as.

Once again, record cold temperatures. Coldest ever recorded. This fits the thirty year trend for Kansas winters, which are getting colder. 30 years is usually considered long enough to be called climate. Except of course when is shows cooling, then it’s just weather.

But the climate change for Kansas is presently colder winters. This fits most of the CONUS as well, Alaska shows a much stronger trend towards cooling, as it’s annual trend is also strongly cooling, except for Barrow. I know, it sounds crazy because you only hear the warmist nonsense. The data, now that is another story.

The annual trend for Kansas of course shows a very slight warming since the cold seventies, but no long term trend. In fact, since the extremely warm period of the thirties, no warming trend. But the recent summer warming is more of the asymmetric climate change that shows up on a global scale. Which makes perfect sense, as the CONUS data (unadjusted of course) matches the NH global land mean. Colder winters, warmer summers, for much of the NH.

Now some fuckheads will deny this, but they are not looking at the data, just listening to the fuckhead nonsense that passes for climate consensus, in the fuckhead world.

The most insane and oddly hilarious thing, is that there actually is one theory of climate change that predicted this. Over 60 years ago, what we are observing right now, was actually predicted. And it isn’t the solar influence crowd, though obviously they are gaining traction with each passing year.

I find this so interesting, I can hardly contain myself.
