Because weather is climate, and cold weather means it warming.

) but I think his argument, before his posts all changed into error messages, is that since 2014 is now on track to be the hottest year out of the last million years, that disproves global warming.
I can’t follow the mathematical intricacies of that Hot-is-Cold, Ignorance-is-Strength, Freedom-is-Slavery argument, but I’ll show solidarity with Mastermind by providing anecdotal support for his thesis.
It is F*CKING HOT where I live. Mid-November we should be approaching winter, Goddamit! Yesterday, air-conditioning failed and getting the repairman to come out became our highest priority. Michigan in some areas has already broken it’s all time record for snow, for the entire month of November.
Marquette, Michigan – 16 inches of snow shatters old record of 6 inches set in 1977
St Cloud, Minnesota – 13.2 inches of snow shatters old record of 4.3 inches set in 1946
In addition, this 13.2-inch snowfall easily retires the old record for any 24-hour snow event in the entire month of November, which was 12 inches set on Novemb3r 21, 1898.

The temperature reached minus 13 degrees just before midnight last night, breaking the record of minus 4 degrees set on Nov. 12, 1882. That’s 132 years.

And just before 3 a.m. this morning, the mercury plunged to minus 14 degrees F (-25 C), shattering the previous record low of minus-3 (-19 C) set on Nov. 13, 1916.
The National Weather Service says Thursday’s mark ties for the second-coldest temperature at any point in the entire month of November in Denver’s recorded history.
The temperature should rise into the teens today, which would mark the third consecutive day the high temperature remained below 20 degrees, the first time that would happen in recorded Denver history.
Denver’s coldest November temperature of minus 18 degrees (-28 C) was recorded on November 29, 1877.
Of course it’s not even winter yet.

Now this was 2009, and it really was colder than fuck where he was. In fact, the entire month of October was so fucking cold in 2009 it brought the October trend for Colorado into a cooling trend. Yeah, it was that fucking cold.

But clearly something is wrong, and it’s really looking like it’s not a lack of measurement at this point. There is little uncertainty in the surface data, or the sat data. We good and fucking well know the boreal winters are getting colder, with a fuckton more snow.
In 2009 it wasn’t that obvious, unless you were stuck in a goddamn fucking cold as hell October in Boulder, like Trenberth was.

But it’s ALWAYS rainy. Especially on weekends.
Most people can understand when they read Trenberth’s email that he wasn’t saying “there is no global warming”, and understand that he was bitching about the unusual (very very fucking unusual, record breaking unusual) cold where he was.
He also remarks about the inability to measure what is actually going on. The Ceres data said there should be warming, but the actual data says otherwise. The unusual cold he was bitching about even shows up in the global data.
Note the current October readings.
The Ceres data says we should look like 2005, or 2006. Not like 2013, or 2014, .5 C colder, which in global terms, is a lot fucking colder.
