Sorry, but I’m not your research assistant. It’s not my responsibility to go looking for quotes to back up your bullshit.
If it’s that common, it should be extremely easy for you to back up your claim. But for some mysterious reason, you refuse to do so.
Ummm, are you seriously asserting that rejecting the “hockey stick” graph is equivalent to denying that temperatures have increased over the last 100 years?
Seriously?
I haven’t noticed any post where he denies that temperatures have increased over the last 100 years. He himself says that he doesn’t deny it. It’s possible that I missed something, but that’s why I’m asking you to back up your claim.
So please do. Please quote FXMastermind where he states or implies that temperatures have not risen over the past 100 years.
Also, please answer my question from above:
Are you seriously asserting that rejecting the “hockey stick” graph is equivalent to denying that temperatures have increased over the last 100 years?
Well you are much more open minded about his opinion than I am, at this point. People who make shit up, and then weasel out of admitting they just made something up, are trolls. Or maybe just full of shit. YMMV
Certainly the alarmists try to tar all who disagree with them, in any way, with a wide brush. It’s like politics, rather than science. Rabid politics, not the civil kind. It’s why I found years ago, that showing them fact based information just doesn’t matter. They made up their minds first, so the scientific method is useless. For example, from the GD topic, where some people still think US winters (along with the world) are warming faster than ever, faster than any other season.
ClimateCentral is just an example of the deception and dishonesty that much of the global warming “movement” spews every day. The study mentioned is here. Even using their own data, a scientific person can see the problem, (they used 1912-2012 for their long term data), which is the simple fact is, that for almost half of the US, winters have not warmed in the last hundred years.
Even worse, looking at the 100 year trend, globally, using the NASA GISS data, you can see the serious problem for global warming theory.
If, as the theory assumes, greenhouse warming is the cause, we should see a winter increase much greater than the summer. We can switch to the more recent warming period, which is always popular with alarmists.
This used one of the coldest periods in recent history to start the trend, but it actually makes the global warming appear to be due to something besides an enhanced greenhouse effect. (you should be objecting that since the land is supposed to show the most warming, just use the land figures)
Sadly, land only doesn’t change the trends much at all.
It’s that I question and look at everything, that is what they think deniers do. And once that religion labels you, they stop listening.
That’s cool, both literally and figurativly. Thanks for pointing out that anomaly, I enjoyed reading about. Just to keep the balance, since you only point out record cold and not record heat, here is another one:
For one thing, the most controversial part of the hockey stick graph has nothing to do with temperature from the last 100 years – it’s the proxy-based reconstruction.
You do realize, don’t you, that the hockey stick graph goes back to the year 1000?
For another thing, there are a lot ways that temperature could increase over the last 100 years which aren’t the same shape as the hockey stick graph.
Now please answer my question (a simple yes or no will do)
Are you seriously asserting that rejecting the “hockey stick” graph is equivalent to denying that temperatures have increased over the last 100 years?
Also, please quote FXMastermind where he states or implies that temperatures have not risen over the past 100 years. Either that or admit that you are bullshitting again.
Have you ever visited anywhere when it wasn’t either the coldest the people can remember or the hottest or the wettest or the cloudiest or the driest or something? “Global warming is so last year.” the man says, but only a theory that is not valid needs to change its terminology every year to keep the people confused.
I’d say any sane person disputes global warning. The pretense was in 1978 that the sea level would rise 3 meters before the turn of the century, but it hasn’t.
Read Michael Chricten’s book on that foolishness. Just like the crazies who say the end of the world is due, when it doesn’t happen there is no apology, nor even a shameful look on their face.
Maybe read some of the stories by Nevil Shute about the heat in Australia and spontaneous combustion of towns long before any one had invented the term global warming human based climate change.
A wise man recently said to me, “Sorry, but I’m not your research assistant. It’s not my responsibility to go looking for quotes to back up your bullshit.”
You are obviously not engaging in valid debate, but are only playing games.
I looked at the post – there’s nothing in that post where he denies that temperatures have risen over the past 100 years.
Please just admit that you are bullshitting again.
Lol, nice projection. Look, you are the one who claimed that FXMastermind “certainly” has disputed that global temperatures rose over the past 100 years.
I simply expressed skepticism about your claim and asked you to back it up. You have the burden of proof on this point.
You are unable to carry your burden. Please just admit it, the sky won’t fall.
I also asked you a simple, reasonable question aimed at figuring out your position:
Are you seriously asserting that rejecting the “hockey stick” graph is equivalent to denying that temperatures have increased over the last 100 years?
Actually, if you want to play games, show me where I said that. Not where I responded to what you said, but where I actually said, “FXMastermind has disputed that global temperatures rose over the past 100 years.”
Because, I never actually said that. You did, and I responded.
If you really want the truth, why not ask him? He’s right here. Hey, FXMastermind? Do you dispute that global temperatures have risen over the past 100 years?
You’re too busy playing the “Show me” game (and, when anyone else plays that game against you, you play the “I’m not your research assistant” game) to demonstrate any interest in the truth.
Now, show me where Napoleon Bonaparte said, “This is a fucking waste of time” or else admit that you’re playing games.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is no answer to that question as well. I don’t expect any answer from the rabid global warmers, ever. Of course one can be surprised, and every now and then, very rare actually, somebody preaching doom and sneering at everything they don’t comprehend, or understand, or like, will actually try to respond to a direct question, but it’s very very rare.
It’s a psychological issue, IMNSHO of course. There could be an entire topic about it, and not just for global warming questions, it’s common everywhere an issue is political, or religious. Somebody who is putting forth actual science loves questions. Hell, most people could give a shit about something as obscure or rarely discussed as the questions surrounding feedbacks involving clouds, water vapor and early snow fall in Siberia. For fucks sake, Cohen and others have been talking about it, publishing about it, for over 7 years now, and nobody in this topic even known about it. Much less cares to explore the matter.
You ask me a question and you get a shit ton of cites and quotes from scientific publications, as well as GISS maps and boreal winter trend figures and “Jesus fuck he won’t shut the fuck up about it”, but you ask a warmer a simple question, and they ignore it, or worse, play fuckhead games.
“Does the theory of human caused global warming, (AGW, the CO2 theory, global warming theory), predict winters will become warmer over time?”
That’s a pretty basic and important question. Why would anyone promoting global warming, who expresses great concern over global warming, who is sure it is happening, why would they avoid answering it?
