I'm sick of this Global Warming!

If you consider that a banana cream pie, you’re a worse troll than I thought. Banana cream pie needs at least one ingredient in the dairy family, unlike that monstrosity.

You’re still an idiot

New Hampshire has committed the unpardonable sin of global warming, in which it’s winters are warming much faster than it’s summers.

This is most evident with February 2015 setting the record for warmest Tmax ever, easily seen in the NCDC data. The Tmin shows the crime as well, even with out being an all time record, it’s obvious why the global warming is making not only people sick, but the Sugar Maples are all headed north, to colder climes.

Would we see this sort of record breaking winter warming with out mankind fucking things up? Certainly not. The August Tmax shows the problem clearly, where brutal unheard of heat shows up clearly in the historic record.

It’s not just the summers, October shows a clear signal of human caused climate change there. You can’t deny it.

Same for precipitation, where the warmer climate shows up clearly.

Winters obviously are getting much more rain, even as summers show what a hot dry hell NH has become.

But of course we can’t blame a state, it’s the entire world that is to blame. But especially you. Yes you, you caused this. And you should feel bad.

You misspelled “its.” Clearly you are incompetent to discuss matters of any technical complexity.

Of course just looking at one little state doesn’t tell us much about the global warming. You have to look at the entire world, because regional changes don’t matter (unless it’s getting hotter, then it matters). This is how climate science works, and anyone who questions the global warming must be a criminal or worse.

Just look at the GISS data, which always shows the world warmer, because they infill missing areas, because it’s NASA and they don’t use satellite data for this shit.

But even so, the GISS maps show how the NH is warming, and fast. Oh sure some might handwave away that warming, saying it’s just one month, but even J-F shows where the warming is the worst, large areas of the Northern Hemisphere show obvious signs of drastic greenhouse warming.

It’s this sort of greenhouse signal that is becoming stronger, a clear trend of warming winters, which is what the theory predicts. As more and more CO2 builds up, we can expect it to get worse, because CO2 is the dominate factor in climate change.

The moral of the story is that actual climate scientists are near unanimous, and shit-for-brains-message-board-twat thinks he knows better, even though he has no training whatsoever to evaluate the actual science.

The End.

A main reason I rarely try to be serious on internet is illustrated by this latest idiocy response, to a well known problem with using Marie Callender to do “pie science.”

I’ve plotted banana cream pie (BCP) maximums in my house over four decades, and the trend is unmistakably downward. This year there were record low numbers of BCP. Yet the fuckheads find one at Walmart and think this refutes the science.

This is why I find it hilarious, the reaction from idiots, who actually think they are smarter than most. Since they “already know everything”, they can’t actually see the banana in front of them. The simple point there, that you can’t compare modern recipes with the old recipes from the 1880s.

Then you have National Banana Cream Pie Day. The fuckheads say this must indicate BCP numbers are rising over time, ignoring the obvious fact that it is an obvious attempt to prop up a dying pie.

Big Bakery with their “97% of all bakers agree with banana cream” continue to shit all over science and reason with their pro-banana agenda. And the fuckheads eat it up. Their hysterical propaganda is transparent.

But back to the science. BCP is decreasing in my house. When you look at the plots and the actual numbers, it’s obvious. The BCP apologist will dismiss a forty year trend as meaningless, but they can’t dismiss the ideas people get when looking at such data. It’s science, bitches!

My work here is done.

Can I stick it with a fork?

Sound insane? Here is the actual letter.
http://www.iges.org/letter/LetterPresidentAG.pdf

Kevin Trenberth is a signer on it

You can’t make this shit up

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Then you are an insane person. Even if the groups in question are actually doing what the letter alleges (which I find quite plausible) , trying to sell it as RICO, a law that refers to the prosecution of individuals who engage in organized crime, is ratshit insane. It really is. In essence, Trenberth and others are saying, and I quote

That is what they are claiming is organized crime.

That’s fucking nuts.

However, I see a bright side to all this. If somebody does actually somehow make it RICO, then anyone who colludes with others to knowingly deceive the public is now a criminal, even a RICO level criminal. Which means the same thing can be done to anyone who is misleading the public about climate change.

A slippery slope indeed. So if a group of climate scientist/researchers get caught deceiving the public, making it seem far worse than it actually is, and this causes people to now feel less urgency to do anything about it, then they are criminals, for the exact same reason.

If NOAA scientist have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, and this leads to forestall America’s response to climate change, because now people think NOAA is full of shit and a bunch of liars, then they can be investigated/prosecuted/jailed for organized crime.

Since they did it with government money, in government positions, it will be far worse for them. (if that sounds insane to you, good)

What a goddamn wonderful idea. Let’s go after scientists if they don’t believe the right things, and let’s use RICO to investigate them.

Is there anything global warming can’t cause?

Let’s be clear on this. Even if it’s true (which it probably actually is), even if a bunch of people are trying to cast doubt on climate change, and it’s to prevent higher taxes, or something, it doesn’t make that RICO, because it opens the door to go after anyone for any reason, using RICO laws, and now trying to sway public opinion is organized crime.

Imagine the precedent for that shit.

Of course if they are covering up research, and big fat liars about the harm from products they sell/use, like coal, that’s another story, and who wouldn’t want somebody prosecuted for that shit?

But that isn’t what the letter is saying. What they are saying is the crazy part.

Those idiots are claiming that somehow the evil fossil fuel industry is preventing, not spreading bad info, they are actually preventing. " it is imperative that these misdeeds be stopped as soon as possible so that America and the world can get on with the critically important business of finding effective ways to restabilize the Earth’s climate, before even more lasting damage is done"

It’s like claiming because I am posting links to data, like GISS and NOAA and RSS, that I am somehow stopping you from doing something about reducing, or stopping your fossil fuel use. If only somehow the skeptics could be silenced, then you can get busy solving the problem.

Which is just fucking nuts, at a whole new level of batshit crazy. This doesn’t even start to deal with the other idiocy in the letter, but you have to start somewhere.

“… before even more lasting damage is done …”

What damage to the climate? This is certainly reasonable if we’re talking all the nasty nitrogen compounds being vomited forth by a variety of Volkswagons right now … but what’s the problem to the climate?

Tell me, if you will, what other fields should we make it illegal to disagree with the ‘consensus’?

How about psychology? Had we had the foresight to apply this to psychology back in 1970 homosexuality would still be considered a mental illness. Using this type of law, hell, we could have locked up the gays and the psychologists who thought it was just a natural preference and not a mental illhess. Some, even you, might think that is a win/win.

Anyone who wants the government to decided the truth in areas of science is a fool. Anyone who wants the government to lock up those who don’t agree with government obviously has no grasp of history and doesn’t give a fuck about freedom.

This type of shit has been tried before and the results weren’t pretty. Lots of dead innocent people who the gall to think for themselves.

Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is a worthless piece of shit. You included.

Slee

Your problem is that it is the conservatives who are using the power of law to prevent free discussion. States have denied their disaster planning departments from taking rising sea levels into account. Congress is trying to deny NASA the ability to study global climate.

It ain’t the liberals who are using the power of legislation to shut down opposition!

You’re too late. The Feds have been abusing that law in that way for decades.

what a spastic misrepresentation of anything that I or the letter said. Go find a fainting couch you giant puss.

Anyone who supports allowing businesses to advance their interests through fraud is a piece of shit. You especially. You corporate weasel-fucker.

As always, providing sources goes a long way towards being effective in an argument.

That might be true, but sources still matter.

I would love to see some evidence for this. (it’s the sort of thing I usually just assume is true, hence the need to fact check it)

Hey stupid, you just misrepresented your own quotation, it says “misdeed”, not “fraud” … what a piece of shit … maybe you’re too stupid to know the oil companies pump oil out of the ground, but most everybody else does know … so it’s not fraud, jackass.

This might be true in the impoverished third-world nation you live in, but here in the United States we have a thing called “freedom of speech”. That means we can say just about anything we want to at any time any where. I can only speak to the coastal areas between Nicaragua and Newfoundland, and indeed it’s a waste of time and money to consider sea-level rise as a disaster. The current rate is 3 mm per year, or 300 mm in 100 years (about a foot). All these places have to be planning for 30 foot storm surges with at best 72 hour notice. Even a three foot sea-level rise in 100 years is trivial in comparison. The West Coast is subject to tsunamis, which makes Cat 5 hurricanes look trivial. Sea-level has been rising, and it’s been rising for 15,000 years so far, duh, of course it’s still rising. Only a squirrel wouldn’t consider 13[sup]th[/sup] century Dutch history …

Congress fully funds NOAA’s climate research, it’s not NASA’s job.

We choose to burn fossil fuels for energy … blaming conservatives is just plain juvenile.
