I look at something like the GISS trend for the NH Cold season and go, “Hmm, that’s strange”, while the fuckhead looks at it and has some kind of fit.
I’m all like, “Well, lets look at the Warm season”, and when it show a .06 rise, that explains why the global mean is negative, but in summer it still looks like global warming.
The fuckhead is screaming at this point, having a tantrum. I’m all like, “Hey, calm the fuck down OK?”. Emotions are not part of science.
Then I notice that even in the summerAlaska and the Being sea area shows dramatic cooling. So I sniff around, look at different time periods, the NCDC records, and find that yes indeed, since 2003 Alaska has seen a huge drop in both winter and annual mean temperatures, except for BARROW OF COURSE.

Back then it was either high pressure “causing” the weather, or (not in this link) changes to the jet streams, Rossby waves, but still “caused” by global warming.
The story was just starting to change from “oh it’s just natural variations” or “there will still be the occasional cold winter”, to “Oh it’s BECAUSE of global warming”.
Of course most people have scant memories or no knowledge of any of this. They just know the winters have become un-fucking-believable, and when they hear shit like the above, they pretty much lose all faith in their leaders, or the shitbags repeating this steaming pile of pseudo-scientific horseshit.
So it changed from 2010 to now. First it was

Are we imposing human emotions on global warming again? Look, it’s okay to blame our own parents for the worthless genetic material they gave us, but I honestly don’t think global warming is stupid enough to blame gravity.
